As in the works shown at Casa Masaccio, in San Giovanni Valdarno (AR) in 1996, and at Galleria Galliani in Genoa in 1997, sensors are positioned in the rooms of houses adjacent to the exhibition space – in this case an empty house, used as an annex of the S.M.A.K. – to indicate the presence of their inhabitants. Visitors to the exhibition see one or more light bulbs turn on every time someone moves in the room of the apartment next door; the light increases in intensity for 30-40 seconds, and then slowly subsides.
